And nothing is as good if real Maple Syrup is not used. We buy it in gallon containers from Western N.Y. farmers.
When we are in western New York, we love to make our own: we tap the maple trees, then “boil the app” down until it gets to the proper consistency of real maple syrup. (Some places cheat and leave it far too thin and watery).
It takes about 50 gallons of tree sap to produce 1 gallon of syrup.
Fun things “come from Karen’s Kitchen”. Wait for the daily show online to come!
